When you’re fasting, it’s important to make prayer a part of your daily routine. Aim to pray at least twice a day — once in the morning and once at night before bed.If your schedule allows, you can also spend time in prayer during the afternoon.

There’s no strict rule about how long you need to pray. Prayer is simply having an honest and personal conversation with our Heavenly Father. What matters most is that your heart is sincere and your focus is on Him. Try to limit distractions — especially spending too much time on your phone — so you can stay present and connected in prayer.

The Bible gives us a great example in Daniel, who prayed three times a day — morning, noon, and evening (Daniel 6:10). Even when faced with danger, Daniel stayed faithful and consistent in prayer. His dedication reminds us that prayer is our strength and connection to God, especially during fasting.

It’s also good to read at least one Bible verse or chapter each day. Before you start reading, pray and ask God to help you understand His Word and the message behind it. While fasting, take notes on what you understand and what you don’t. This practice will help you grow spiritually and deepen your relationship with God.
