The dead in Christ.

The message of the sermon is: There is confusion in the cemetery.

Many peoples don't understand what exactly happens when you as a person die.

The confusion about death was of what was written on the tombstone, like for example: Our dear mother is now laying in the arms of Jesus waiting for the resurrection morning.

There was confusion and many questions being asked like where is she (the mother)? Like, is she really laying in the arms of Jesus? Is she resting? Like, where is she?

Pastor says that he believes when people die, they sleep an unconscious dreamless sleep until Jesus comes and the resurrection takes place. Because the Bible says that people are not raised until they're judged. The judgement and resurrection has not taken place, because the resurrection takes places when Jesus comes.

Q3 What is the Spirit that returns to God at death?

The spirit of the good and bad even of animals, spirit of all living things returns to God who gave it.

Job27v3 (spirit of God is in my nostrils)

Not many have prayed a prayer saying God, please come into my nose (nostrils).

Breath of life in Greek = pneumonia and it means wind. In Hebrew, rohlah, rohag? Is aspiration from God James 2v26 body without spirit is death.(everything breathes, fish, plants, worms literally everything)

Q4 What is a soul?

You are a soul, some thinks it's a ghost or something… no, remember Gen2v7 (He became a living soul)

Q5 Do souls die?

Ezekiel18v4 the soul that sins shall die

yes, souls do die. Preachers says we got immortals souls to save...

There is no Bible verse that we got immortal souls. Job4v17 shall mortal man be more just than God?

1Tim6;15-16, Lord of lord who only has immortality.

So it is not taught in the Bible that we have immortal souls. The first thing God said to Adam&Eve = if you sin, you will die.

The most memorized verse in the Bible is For God so much loved the world (John3v16)

We got 2 choices, which is to perish or have everlasting life. It's life or death.

Revelation16v3 (every living soul died in the sea)

So souls do die according to the Bible.

Q6 Do good people go to heaven when they die?

Job17v13, people spend some time in the grave, it's like they are asleep. Apostle Pierre was preaching on the Pentecost, and he spoke to the Jews in Acts2v29 Let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David that he is both died and buried.

King David, do you think he is saved? The man after God's own heart?

So now you wonder where David is... read Acts 2v34, he is not ascended into the Heaven. This is 50 days after the resurrection.

There is no consciousness in times of death

John 5v8-29(those in graves shall hear His voice)

Good = resurrection of life.

Evil = resurrection of damnation.

You may wonder where are they now? In their graves. Jesus said those in their graves… And He will resurrect them when He comes back at the 2nd coming.

So who's going to resurrect? The lost? No, the death in Christ rise first.

Didn't Jesus says you'll be with me today in Paradise (the man who was next to Jesus on the cross)

Is there anyone in Heaven now?

Yes, there are some in Heaven now, like two witnesses Moses and Elijah.

Enoch (oldest man), 24 elders (Matt27v52-53 first fruits, those who will be redeemed so a group, but we don't know who exactly)

Q7 How much does one know or comprehend after death?

Bible says in Ecclesiaste9v5-6,10 (the death know not anything)

The idea that you're being haunted is not Biblical.

Q8 But cants the dead communicate with the living and aren't they aware of what the living are doing? The Bible doesn't teach that there are people up there in Heaven looking after or upon us. Job7v10(he shall return no more to his house), Job 14v12(he rises not till the heavens be no more.) When Jesus comes there will be signs like the moon changing its color to red and there will be darkness.

How much do they know in the grave? No knowledge, so they don't know what's going on here on earth.

Psalms 115v17 (the death does not praise the Lord.)

Psalms 6v5 (there is no remembrance of thee.)

until the resurrection, you are sleep

Q9 Jesus calls the unconscious state of the dead sleep, how long will they sleep?

1Cor 15v51-53 when the Lord comes, the trumpet will sound

When Jesus comes, the mortals will be immortals.

John11v11,14 (Lazarus was sleeping for four days) Jesus referred to death as sleeping but like a deep sleep, not as how we daily sleep. (you can kinda compare it to someone who is in a coma, they are not awake, they are in a deep sleep not knowing what's going on around them even tho they have family members surrounded, holding their hand or praying on them. My thoughts)

Many will wonder and want to ask Lazarus (when we make it up there).

There are 1 resurrection in the Bible, and none of them tells us about the experience of death. Matt27v5, Psaume13v3

How does the Bible refer to death? It is a DREAMLESS SLEEP.

Q10 What happens to the righteous dead at the 2nd coming of Christ?

1Cor15:52-53. When the Lord comes this will happen and in Apocalpse22v12(He comes back and will reward those according to how they have lived their lives on earth)

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 says, "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet-call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first."

John5v28-29, John 6v39-40,44 (He will rise them up on the last day) Martha said in John6v54 I know that Lazare will rise the LAST day, it is clearly written in the Bible over and over again, 1Cor15v22-23. GOD can see the future.

Q12 why did the devil lie to Eve about death?

Esaie8v19 does God want us to communicate with the death? Absolutely not. But nowadays in the Alpha generation, we are so much influenced by the media. From cartoons, movies, TV series that death can communicate with the living. And now Christians are cloudy with the living.

Many be writing books that they died and went into heaven. Some may be sincere, like the Baptist Pastor. And these things can bring confusion.

Q13 can demons really perform miracles? Yes they can.(remember the parable of Saul who went to consult a fortuneteller or medium to call the spirit of Samuel, and she did, and that spirit gave a discouraging message to Saul and Saul went out the next day, lost the battle and died because he committed suicide. Pastor now says that he doesn't believe it was Samuel who spoke, but a fallen angel… that was posing as a spirit of the death. Do witches, storytellers, mediums, fortunetellers, card reads, have power to resurrect the death? Absolutely not. Apocalypse16v14,2Cor14, they can transform themselves and appear to be somebody, these are deception 1King22v22 there are lying spirits out there the death are sleep.

People are now confused because they are being bombarded with the media who give the wrong message about the death.

How many people out there pray to Mary? Do we have any Biblical verse that Mary is in Heaven now? Are we told to pray to the dead saints? Some even say I was praying to Mother Teresa… Mary was a saint, but nothing in the Bible says that she went to Heaven or that we can pray to here… show me in the Bible … The only we should pray to is JESUS CHRIST.

Q14 Why will God's people not be deceived? Because we are standing on the rock of His word. Amen, Acts 14v11(search scriptures daily).

God doesn't want His peoples getting mixed up on this subject. Ephesiens5v11 have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness.

Q16 will righteous people who are raised in the resurrection ever die again?

Good news= Luke 20v35-36, they can never die again.

Death itself will be cast into the lake of fire. There are some people walking around today, and they're animated, and they're moving around, but they are not alive, because they're spiritually dead. You can have spiritual life and the Lord wants you to have that. We should not be afraid of death. So remember, the dead in Christ are in a dreamless deep sleep.
